Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of modelinkpress.com ("Site") and the publishing services provided by Modelink Press LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing the Site or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms. If you disagree, do not use the Site or services.

1. Services

We provide professional publishing services including, but not limited to:

  • Editing (developmental, line, copy, proofreading)
  • Ghostwriting
  • Cover design
  • Book formatting (print and ebook)
  • ISBN registration
  • Publishing & distribution (KDP, IngramSpark, Apple Books, Kobo, Google Play, B&N)
  • Marketing & PR (Amazon Ads, press, podcasts, author platforms)
  • Author website design & digital marketing
  • Audiobook production
  • Monthly growth plans

Specific deliverables, timelines, and pricing are detailed in your project agreement or selected package.

2. Client Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate, complete manuscript/content and necessary assets
  • Respond to review requests within agreed timeframes (typically 5–7 business days)
  • Approve milestones before we proceed
  • Ensure you own or have rights to all submitted content
  • Pay invoices per agreed schedule (50% deposit, balance on delivery; milestone payments for larger packages)

3. Intellectual Property & Rights

  • You retain full copyright. ISBNs are registered in your name. Royalties paid directly to you by retailers.
  • We do not take any percentage of your royalties or rights.
  • Ghostwriting: Full IP transfer to you upon completion and payment.
  • We may use your book cover and title in our portfolio/marketing unless you request otherwise in writing.
  • You grant us a limited license to reproduce, format, and distribute your work solely for the purpose of providing the Services.

4. Payment Terms

  • Packages: 50% deposit to begin, 50% balance due on final delivery
  • Authority/Legacy: Milestone payments per project agreement
  • Monthly growth plans: Billed monthly in advance;illed on the 1st of each month
  • Payments via PayPal/Stripe. Late payments may pause work.
  • No refunds on deposits after work has commenced. Refunds for undelivered milestones only.

5. Revisions & Satisfaction

Every package includes defined revision rounds. We work until you're satisfied within scope.

  • Additional revisions beyond scope billed at $75/hr (editing) or $100/hr (design)
  • Major scope changes require a change order with timeline/cost impact
  • We don't ship work that doesn't meet our quality standards

6. Timelines

Estimated timelines per package:

  • Launch: 4–6 weeks from manuscript sign-off
  • Professional: 8–12 weeks
  • Authority: 12–16 weeks
  • Legacy: Custom (typically 6–12 months)

Delays from client review cycles extend timelines proportionally. We communicate proactively if schedules shift.

7. Confidentiality

All manuscripts, communications, and project details are confidential. We do not share, reproduce, or disclose your work without written consent. NDAs available on request.

8. Warranties & Disclaimers

  • We warrant our work is performed professionally per industry standards
  • No guarantee of bestseller status, sales volume, or specific revenue. Market outcomes depend on factors outside our control.
  • Retailer acceptance (KDP, IngramSpark, etc.) subject to their policies
  • Site and services provided "as is" without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Modelink Press LLC shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, or opportunities. Our aggregate liability shall not exceed the total fees paid by you for the relevant service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Modelink Press LLC from any claims arising from: (a) your content infringing third-party rights; (b) your breach of these Terms; (c) libel, defamation, or illegal content in your manuscript.

11. Termination

Either party may terminate with written notice. Client pays for work completed through termination date. We may terminate if you breach these Terms or fail to pay. Refunds for undelivered milestones only.

12. Governing Law

These Terms governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA. Disputes resolved in Sheridan County courts or binding arbitration (AAA rules) at our election.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use after posting constitutes acceptance. Material changes communicated via email.
